The Abacus Science Kit (Earthquake explorers™) comes with a range of equipment to assist in learning more about how earthquakes occur and shift the earth’s surface. This kit provides students with the materials necessary to hold different experiments and gain a practical understanding of seismology.

Magnified fun

This kit comes with a packet of small magnifying glasses that can be used for closely observing an experiment. These serve as a great demonstration tool for teaching students about magnification.

All this equipment is packed into a sturdy Gratnells storage box, which can be integrated into our Abacus Science Frame.

In the classroom, the Abacus Science Kit (Earthquake explorers™) is ideal for teaching students about how earthquakes occur, are measured, and the lasting effects they have on earth’s surface. Students may wish to research countries effected by earthquakes and use the clay to create a replica of this event.
