Description / Anemometer - Compact
Four hemispherical cups (three blue, one red) are supported on horizontal arms extending from the central upright, as per the traditional anemometer design. The arms are mounted on a low friction bearing, allowing for a high degree of sensitivity to even light wind conditions.
Compact design
The small size of this model means it’s easy to transport outside for demonstration purposes.
Use to show students that it’s possible to calculate wind speed using this simple tool, by counting revolutions (using the red cup for reference). An instructional guide included with the apparatus provides further detail on how to utilise the resource.
