This Watch it grow!™ Card Pack is an ideal resource to teach students regarding different life stages of living things.

Whose eggs?

This pack consist of 21 'whose egg?' illustrated cards which includes 12 animal cards and 9 egg cards. The egg cards are not labelled but the animal cards comes with its name written on the cards. The cards can be used to ask students to match the egg cards with the animal cards or to ask questions like, 'what animal laid this egg?', ''why do you think this animal laid this egg?', 'does an egg grow?', and more. This task can be completed in groups, pairs or individually. 

Mixed up lives cards

The mixed up lives cards illustrates four life stages of a human and a mealworm. Teachers can use these cards to let students identify the correct sequence of the life stages.

Different life stages cards

The life stages cards can be used to explain the different life cycles of living things. While humans have simple life stages, this card pack include complex life stages of animals such as frogs, butterflies and more. For example, teachers can use these cards to illustrate how amphibians like frogs undergo metamorphosis which allows frogs to live in both water and land. 

These life stages cards can also be used to to design a class acitivity where students either work in pairs or groups to put the cards in the correct sequence of life stages. At the end, these can be compared and discussed in classrooms.
