Brass Barometer
Description / Brass Barometer
This device is ideal for teaching your students the basics of meteorology.
The Brass Barometer is a clock-like instrument that helps measure atmospheric pressure and predict weather events. The barometer has two hands that indicate changing weather on the clockface: a reference pointer and a pressure pointer. The reference pointer stays still and measures changes in air pressure which is then reflected by the movement of the pressure pointer. This barometer can measure up to 300 degrees and is marked with millibars of mercury.
A range of weather events
This barometer has 5 easy to read labels that read; stormy, rain, change, fair, and very dry. This gives students the opportunity to observe the changing weather and become more attuned to their surroundings.
Made of durable materials
The barometer has a glass screen covering a white clock face with an outer rim made of brass. This product is designed to withstand constant classroom use and has a one-year warranty.
The barometer can be hung on your classroom wall for observation or passed around students to examine the changing dials. This device showcases how technology can be utilized to learn more about our surroundings and is relevant to the studies of biology, chemistry, and earth and space science. Your students will be subconsciously learning about meteorology every time they glance at this barometer.
