Get creative!

A fun way to use the magnet is to organise a scavenger hunt in the classroom. Students can use the chunky horseshoe magnet to list and segregate magnetic and non-magnetic materials. This also helps children improve observational skills and encourage critical thinking.  

Students can also use the magnet with iron filings to see the magnetic field by placing a piece of paper with iron filings over the magnet. Simply move the magnet or tap the paper to see the iron filings align along the field lines.
