The COMBO Playing Cards created by Dr Paul Swan are designed to teach students basic numeracy, such as addition, subtraction, division, and multiplication. To play, you must place cards on top of one another and use these to make maths problems. Each card comes with 2 numbers on it, for example 3 and 5. Using this example, 5-3 is 2, so the next card will have to be another set of numbers that create the same result such as 8-6, and so on. This engaging game would be perfect in the classroom to convince students that maths can be fun.

Designed for older students

These cards are ideal to be played in upper primary and lower secondary schools due to being a move advanced game with basic principles.

Colourful cards

These cards are supplied in two colours – yellow and green. This makes the game attention grabbing and vibrant. If bought separately this could be used in class to conduct ideas on games and activities to engage in. Otherwise, COMBO can be played in pairs or groups following a mathematics lesson and could be used as a demonstration tool for a teacher.
