Many English words are compound words, or words formed by combining two or more words. This puzzle adds a new dimension to that concept through the use of visually appealing illustrations.

Vibrant Visual Cues

Each of the 12 puzzles has 4 pieces: 2 pieces with the words to be joined, and another 2 for the images that correspond to the words. The vibrant and colourful images are designed to provide visual clues on how the puzzles could be solved. For example, the word ‘sunflower’ can be formed by putting together the pieces with the image for ‘sun’ and ‘flower’ (as well as a divided image of an actual sunflower).

The pieces come with coloured borders to make it even easier to tell which piece should go where. Making learning simple for children give them confidence to build, learn and remember the various compound words in the English language.
