Dr Paul Swan's Number Spinner Board - Set of 32
Description / Dr Paul Swan's Number Spinner Board - Set of 32
Looking for an alternative to dice to teach probability and chance? Spinners and spinner boards are a fantastic teaching resource, encouraging student engagement in these key topics. Six numbered dice can be replaced with one spinner board.
Six different options
The board is divided into six different spinner circles. Choose to utilise the numbers 1-4, 1-6, 1-8, 1-10, 1-12, or 1-20. This choice allows you the flexibility to adjust the complexity of maths activities to suit the students’ abilities.
Keeping the peace!
Using a spinner is a very quiet method of generating random numbers, particularly when compared with dice. This makes it easy to maintain a calm learning environment when students are using spinners simultaneously.
Colourful and appealing
The durable boards feature bright backdrops in orange, purple, green, blue, yellow, and red behind each spinner option.
With 32 boards provided, it’s possible to supply each student with their own board to practise adding, subtracting, data collection and chance games. Equally useful when supplied to teams of students for use in cooperative groupwork. A supplementary teaching ideas sheet is provided, written by Dr Paul Swan, packed with ideas on how to get the most from the resource.
