The phase 4 (blends) readers introduce 38 different adjacent consonants (or blends). Text uses only decodable regular words (according to the week by week progression) along with 'tricky words'. Phase 4 readers have a strictly controlled vocabulary that follows the letter-by-letter progression.

This is a great kit to expand your collection of Decodable Readers and introduce more titles for added variety. Set one and set two follow the same scope and sequence, set two was added for further variety.
