By deconstructing and reconstructing a 3D shape, students practise thinking logically about its structure and reinforce their understanding of geometric principles. The brightly coloured, durable plastic pieces are designed to support learning in a fun and engaging way.

All the key shapes

This set includes 2D folding nets and the corresponding transparent 3D forms for eight key shapes. These are: cylinder, square pyramid, cube, cuboid, cone, hexagonal prism, and triangular pyramid. The 2D nets are supplied in four vibrant colours: red, blue, green, and yellow.

Interacting with these shapes will prompt students to discuss ideas around the key attributes, characteristics, area, and volume, whilst developing their topic-specific language skills.
