The GeoSafari® Rocks & Minerals Complete Set includes five individual sets: Sedimentary Rocks, Metamorphic Rocks, Igneous Rocks, Minerals and Fossils. Within this are 9 fossils and 12 each of minerals, sedimentary rocks, metamorphic rocks and igneous rocks. This kit is ideal for teaching foundational geology, and is a good pre-cursor to other sciences such as biology, and earth/ space science.

Each fossil set features a full-colour identification chart, labels, and a useful storage tray. This makes the process of unpacking and observing that much easier.

Additional resources

Included with the fossils are activity guides that prompt students on what fossils are and how we can learn from them. In the classroom, students can pair up to examine different fossils, or study them as a class and verbalise observations for the teacher to write down. Another idea is displaying the fossils around your classroom with labels so children are constantly learning from their environment. Teachers could also use the fossils as reference material during a class lesson about geology.
