Frogs are one of the most studied life forms in school, owing to their ubiquity and the fact that their life cycle is similar to that of most complex organisms.

Giant Magnets

Generally, frogs start off as eggs, before hatching into tailed tadpoles that gradually bulk up and lose their tails as they grow older. The giant magnets accurately capture this phenomenon by designating a magnet for each stage of the life cycle, with noticeable physical differences between each magnet.

A teacher who’s particularly knowledgeable about frogs can go a step further and indicate an age for each magnet. This way, when students go out and observe the life cycles of living frogs, they can easily tell what stage of the life cycle the frog is in.
