The seven prisms included in this set allow for a variety of optical effects to be demonstrated. Each are made from a durable, 13mm thick polished glass, and stored in a wooden box complete with tailored foam insert to protect the shapes from damage.

Variety of shapes

Every shape is different. Included are triangular prisms in a range of sizes, semi-circle, trapezoid, double concave prism and double convex prism. With these, students can explore how light refracts, reflects, and diffracts depending on the shape attributes.

When applied in the classroom, these prisms are an ideal tool for a variety of experiments in optics, light refraction, spectrometry, and wavelengths. Additionally, they work well for photography lighting and distortion effects.
