Try out this practical and playful form of measurement! 

The inch-by-inch ruler comes in a transparent blue colour and measures up to 30 centimetres. The ruler's surface has a crawling green inchworm attached, which is fun for children to play with and can double as a handle. The top-end of the ruler has a hole which students can use to put a lanyard through or use to carry the ruler around their classes.  

A colourful way of counting    

On each long side of the ruler are the marked units of inches and centimetres. Every second unit is coloured green to match the fun inchworm and make taking down measurements engaging.   

Assists in teaching the basics 

In between each centimetre on the ruler are marked millimetres, which is ideal for teaching the connection between these units.  

The inch-by-inch ruler teaches practical skills of using a ruler and provides a basic understanding of measurement units. This is a subject that is necessary for developing further understanding of algebra, geometry, statistics, patterns and more. This ruler would be best used independently by students to follow along with a demonstration of revise class content.
