Simplified for efficient learning

Compared to standard playing cards, these cards are more comprehensible for younger children. They don’t have to remember the difference between a ‘club’ and a ‘spade’, or whether a Jack is of higher value than a Queen or King. When using cards to develop fluency in mathematics, this extraneous information can be distracting and irritating.

Instead, the cards build upon the knowledge students already have, namely the cardinal numbers, basic colours (green, yellow, blue and brown) and basic shapes (squares, rectangles, circles and triangles).
