The Language Express Implementation Guide includes over a year of lessons with an evidence informed approach. These lessons explicitly teach oral language skills, the foundation to literacy. All lessons are linked to the Language Express Teachers’ Toolkit, using the resources included in it, and are all linked to the Australian Curriculum. When purchasing the Language Express Teachers’ Toolkit, an Implementation Guide of your choice, either Kindergarten or Pre-primary is included. Oral language learning areas

This guide covers explicit lessons for the oral language areas included in the Language Express Teachers’ Toolkit. They include semantics (including vocabulary), phonological awareness, oral narrative, comprehension, and grammar. These lessons support children to develop oral language skills and can be used for both Tier 1 and Tier 2 levels of Instruction. The clear instructions make them suitable not only for experienced teachers, but especially beneficial for those who are less experienced in the teaching of oral language, and for education assistants.

Teaching made easy

The guide also includes a range of language facilitation techniques such as narrating, language modelling, recasting, adding language, and combining sentences. When these techniques are understood and used by teachers throughout the day, children’s language skills improve.
