MAB ‘Flats’ represent the ‘hundreds place’ of the base ten system, whereby ten single units form one ‘long’, ten longs form one flat, and ten flats form a cube. With use alongside the units, longs, and cube, it’s possible to explain place value in a clear and accessible format.

Practical and hard-wearing

Bright orange, easy-to-clean, and made from smooth plastic, the pieces can withstand frequent use in the classroom. Each flat has indents at regular intervals to make clear that they’re made up of 100 equal parts. The flats are fused and therefore cannot be dismantled. All 10 supplied are uniform in size, shape, and colour.
