Need to reinforce what your students have learned about counting to 10, 100 or 1,000? Our counters come in an array of bright colours that your students will find appealing, and that help them differentiate one object from another.

The counters can be as traditional as plastic circles, or as delightful as tiny (non-edible) bears. Most of them also come with their own containers, so you can store them away neatly whenever they’re not in use.

Activity Ideas:

  • Flash the sum. For this activity, take a set of Addition Flashcards. The addends are printed on one side of the card, while the sum is printed on the other. Show the sides with the addends to your students, and have them guess what the sum is.
  • Counting creatures. This game makes use of our animal-shaped coloured counters. Scatter these on a flat surface, and have students guess how many [insert creature name here] they can see.
  • Dice activities. There’s a myriad of ways dice can be used to teach sorting, counting and patterning. Just take inspiration from our 50 Dice Activity Cards.
