Counters can be stackable, magnetic, transparent or opaque. Take a look at our subcategories below for more information on each type of counter.
When choosing counters by type, think carefully about what you want to use them for. Do you want to stack them to illustrate numbers, stick them on the whiteboard, or double as teaching tools for other maths subjects (e.g. geometry)?
Once you’ve got that established, consider the counters’ aesthetics versus their utility. Would you like to indicate numbers 1-100 in yellow, 100-1,000 in green and so on? Would you prefer transparent counters that allow the light to shine through them, making them more visually appealing to children?
Finally, think about how you’re going to stack them away. Luckily, our counters come in nifty packages where you can store them during and between classes.
