Being able to create, read and interpret graphs and charts are skills that students will carry all throughout their lives (like in corporate settings). Therefore, it’s vital that they’re well-versed in line graphs, bar graphs, pie charts and the like.

Depending on your students’ level, you could start with something as easy as a number line, then gradually make the exercises more challenging with gridded boards.

Activity Ideas:

  • Bingo. Make learning numbers more fun by using our number boards as bingo cards. Instead of calling out a specific number, the caller will shout out maths problems like ‘The sum of 5 and 26’!
  • Maths hopscotch. Use our Giant Number Line Floor Mat for a game of hopscotch with a maths twist. The player will solve a random problem, and the answer to that problem must be skipped over whilst the player hops one-footed from one end of the mat and back.
  • Find the number. Teach operations using our Magnetic Number Line. Give your students a maths problem, and ask them to highlight the answer with the bright yellow frame.
