Polydrons are like origami creations: they’re 3D objects crafted from 2D materials. Unlike origami, though, Polydron sets are made of sturdier materials. They’re quite versatile as well, allowing young learners to construct awesome mini-structures like bridges.
Activity Ideas:
- Sketch that shape. Make a shape out of Polydron, and ask your students to draw that shape as best they can.
- What’s that shape? As mentioned earlier, Polydrons are 3D structures made up of 2D shapes. Show your students a fully-formed Polydron, and ask them to identify the shapes that they can see on it.
- Building bridges. With our Polydron Bridges Class Set, your students will not only get to experience building marvellous mini-structures for themselves - they’ll also ‘bridge’ the gap between classroom instruction and practical application.
