Concave/Convex Mirrors - Pack of 10
Description / Concave/Convex Mirrors - Pack of 10
Once students have mastered the basics of how straight mirrors work, they can move on to using concave/convex mirrors.
The convex mirror is the one that bulges outwards. They show things the right way up and usually smaller. On the other hand, the concave mirror bulges inwards. How an object appears in a concave mirror depends on the distance of the object relative to the mirror. The closer the object is to the mirror, the bigger it looks and the closer it is to being the ‘right way up’.
Get creative!
Use these mirrors in conjunction with flexible mirrors (click to view). Get students to create mini-fun houses, and see how various objects are reflected in the mirrors.Â
