Two plastic pans are suspended by a horizontal arm which joins to the stable upright and base. Sliding compensators are included to fine tune the balancing arms. With this set up, it’s possible for students to experiment with various objects and weights, predicting and testing ideas. The set includes 5g and 10g masses, and the durable pans are also suitable for holding up to 1000mL of liquid.

With a large, non-slip platform base, the apparatus will sit sturdily on top of the desk. This feature makes it suitable for safely measuring larger items.
