Hands-on learning
Paper towels can also be used for various science experiments.
For example, test how far a piece of paper towel can stretch. For this activity, you’ll also need a clear plastic ruler. Place the paper towel on a flat surface, making sure that it lays flat. Using a ruler, measure the width of the paper towel and record the measurement. Stretch the paper towel sideways, measure it again, and record the new width.
Discuss the observation and the findings to gain a better understanding of the activity, as well as to encourage communication and critical thinking.
