The board games are fun and colourful which helps to stimulate enegament. Each board comes with clear instructions. Collectively, the games tackle beginning, middle, digraph middle and final sounds. The games vary slightly depending on the type of phonic used, but they all follow the same general rules:

• Roll the die to move the player’s counter
• Spin the spinner, and try to make a word based on the letter the spinner is pointing to
• If the letter the spinner is pointing to can be used to fill the blank where the player’s counter is, the player should stay in place.Otherwise, the player should go back
• If a square happens to have an arrow pointing somewhere, follow the arrow
