Use this Place Value Frame to demonstrate ones, tens, and hundreds of a base ten system.

Perfectly sized

The high-quality plastic frame comes with three compartments which are perfectly sized to fit the units, longs, and flats. The place vlaue frame features rubber feet to keep the frame firmly in place. The hundred compartment has a flap which comes with ten dividers that can stack up 10 flats. All three compartments have built-in number dials in the front with numbers ranging from 0-9. One of the ways to use the number dials is to show how ten ones (units) can make one ten (long). 

Place Value In classroom

To introduce place value as a position of a digit in a number, demonstrate how value of digits change with its position. For example, 255 equals 5 ones, 5 tens, and 2 hundreds. To make this activity a fun interactive game, write a three digit number on the board and get the chidren to either work independently or in pairs/group to demonstrate it on the place value frame.

The place value frame is stackable making it easy and convenient to store.
