Each balance has two see-through buckets, which can be used for balancing solids and liquids of up to 400ml. In doing so, children will gain an understanding of the relative relationships between various objects, whilst practising using the correct terminology to describe what they’re seeing. The balances are sturdy and well-made, featuring two removable plastic buckets with lids, which rest on a supporting horizontal arm. The base is wide set to maximise tabletop stability.

Clever design

The base of the balance incorporates a built-in storage drawer, which can be used to conveniently store weights when not in use. The buckets being transparent allows for children to clearly see what objects or liquids are held in both sides, whilst pour spouts ensure easy dispensing of liquids after use. Additionally, the fitted lids can double up as weighing platforms.

Supply the class

Twelve is a good quantity for supplying a whole class with a balance one between two, or for providing useful resources for a school department. Children will need to use communication and teamworking skills to complete balancing tasks in pairs or groups.
