Rainbow Fraction Tiles make understanding fractions easier. With 51 of these colour-coded tiles, students can visualise fractions, and manipulate parts of a whole to see how they relate to each other. Especially useful for teaching how to identify, read and write fractions, adding, subtracting, and comparing, as well as equivalency and mixed numbers.

Colourful pieces

Colour-coding helps students apply their understanding of concepts to new contexts. Students will begin to make mathematical connections when they see that red always equals one, yellow equals ¼ and so on. Tiles are provided in red, pink, orange, yellow, dark blue, green, purple, light blue, and black.

The set incorporates one whole, 1/2, 1/3, 1/4, 1/5, 1/6, 1/8, 1/10 and 1/12.
