The School Friendly Playing Cards are numbered 0 – 13 and come in 4 colours to represent suits: green squares, yellow rectangles, blue circles, and brown triangles. Whilst all ages enjoy playing cards, younger children can become confused by the extraneous information on a standard playing card (suits, numbers, etc). These cards were specially designed to provide a simplistic form of pattern recognition that can help younger students develop their maths skills with ease.   

Easy to use  

One aspect of traditional playing cards that can confuse young children is a 7 of diamonds has 9 diamond symbols on the card. Our school friendly cards include the correct number of diamonds to mitigate this issue. 

Age appropriate  

To avoid any association with gambling, the school friendly playing cards have no traditional suits (aces, jacks, queens, or kings) This new and improved deck of cards allows children to play traditional card games in an appropriate manner. 

These cards can be used to play a range of traditional card games, with enough to play in pairs, groups, or in a larger class game. Card games can be directly or indirectly used to teach many different areas of math, such as addition, subtraction, times tables, probability, and more.
