Learning Ideas

• Gather a few common classroom objects. Write the names of these objects on self-adhesive notes for each object. Then, ask students to stick the notes to the corresponding object. For example, the note with the word ‘whiteboard eraser’ on it should be attached to the whiteboard eraser
• Self-adhesive notes are particularly useful for students learning a different language. For example, someone studying Spanish could write the Spanish names (and gendered articles) of objects on a self-adhesive note, and stick it to the corresponding object (e.g. a note saying ‘la mesa’ could be stuck on a table). By exposing themselves to the language in its natural context, students are more likely to retain that language.
