Description / Slinky - Helix Spring
Children of all ages will appreciate how simple yet fun the slinky is to use.
Take your students to any area in the school with stairs (ideally, the ones with low to no foot traffic). Put the slinky at the very top of the stairs, then push it in such a way that it’ll bounce itself downward.
Your students will have a ton of fun observing the quirky movements of the slinky. More importantly, it provides a good opportunity to talk about how the slinky and wave motion in general works.
