Take Sum Risks Card Game
Description / Take Sum Risks Card Game
Take Sum Risks introduces students to the practical applications of probability by practising their number skills.
The Rules
- The card deck is divided into three main types of cards according to colour: red, orange, and green.
- The red cards have the highest risk. Players who draw these cards have the potential to score the highest number of points in the fastest time possible, but they’re also at the highest risk of drawing ‘high risk’ cards like ‘Strike’, ‘minus (a certain number),’ and so on.
- The orange cards have a medium risk. They pose a lower risk than the red cards, but a higher risk than the green cards.
- The green cards have the lowest risk. They don’t give as many points as the orange or red cards, but they’re also the least likely to give strikes and the like.Â
- In general, whoever draws three ‘Strikes’ in a row will be out of the game.Â
The rules of the game can be modified to suit the number and level of the players, the current lesson being taught, etc..
