What's the Time?™ Visual Geared Clock
Description / What's the Time?™ Visual Geared Clock
This hands-on clock covers all aspects of learning to tell the time.
The What's the Time?™ Visual Geared Clock is a fantastic device for revising a range of different math skills. The clock has the red numbers 1-12 around the clockface with small blue numbers reading 0-5 in-between. This helps to draw a connection between whole numbers and the smaller numbers within them. This is also a great way for students to practise the counting, grouping, and sequencing of numbers.
Practise using mathematical language
On the middle of the clockface are blue words saying 'o'clock', 'quarter past', 'half past', and 'quarter two'. These points help to draw a connection between numbers and their written equivalent, whilst familiarising students with mathematical language.
A visually stimulating clockface
Half of the clock is coloured red with 'minutes to' written at the top, whilst the other half is coloured blue with the caption 'minutes past'. This shows that 12:00 is the centre point of the clock, and demonstrates the relationship that numbers have to each other in the context of time.
These colour-coded clocks are ideal for turning abstract concepts about time into practical skills. The clocks are free of batteries which makes them easy to use, eco-friendly, and durable. What's more, your children can practise changing the gears to improve their dexterity. Students will have fun working in small groups or independently to tell the time.
